The Revd Fiona Cotton-Betteridge
The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Fiona Cotton-Betteridge, Priest-in-Charge in the Benefice of Friskney and Old Leake with Wrangle in the Diocese of Lincoln, as Associate Priest (House for Duty) in the Benefice of Barrow-on-Soar with Walton le Wolds and the Benefice of Wymewold and Prestwold with Hoton.
Fiona will be licensed on Wednesday 1st July 2020 (details to be arranged).

I am sure you will all join me in celebrating this good news and in praying for Rev’d Fiona and her family as they prepare to move to join us here in the Barrow and Wolds group. We pray also for the benefice where Rev'd Fiona currently minsters, with whom this news is also being shared today. We will look forward to the opportunity, when we can all gather together to celebrate Fiona’s arrival with us and her ministry among the Barrow and Wolds group of churches.

In my recent messages to you all I have spoken of the hope that we have in Jesus Christ, of the light that cannot be extinguished and of the joy that is to be found with God, even in the darkest of times. I believe that this wonderful news is a reminder of the plans that God has for our group of churches and of his calling to us all to serve him in this place, a reminder of God’s love, light, hope and joy at this time.

With my continued prayers for Rev’d Fiona and for you all, I wish you every blessing,

Rev’d Clive R Watts
Priest in Charge
Barrow and Wolds Group
