As our church buildings remain closed whilst we are in lock-down or the highest COVID Tiers, we have put together this Lent & Easter Pack, to help you keep this solemn and holy season of Lent, and our celebration of Easter at home. We will reopen our buildings as soon as it is felt safe to do so, but your wellbeing is our first concern, until then we will continue with our zoom and telephone services and ensure that all our services and materials are on our website.

Inside your lent pack you will find…

Ash Wednesday Prayer Card – As lent begins on Wednesday 17th February, this card reminds us that we are marked with the cross, a reminder of the beginning of this holy season of preparation for Easter.

Lent Thoughts – Six Spiritual Companion leaflets, one for each week of Lent, to aid you in your prayer and contemplation throughout the season of Lent.

A Daily Devotional for Holy Week – A booklet of ‘Praying Together at Home’ worship for use at home during Holy Week, from Palm Sunday to Easter Day.

Lent Course – Details of our on-line Lent Course for 2021, starting on Thursday 25th February.

Mothering Sunday – We will be displaying ribbons with the names of mothers and other significant women in our lives from the tower of Holy Trinity for Mothering Sunday, a form to include names in this is in your pack.

Palm Cross – A reminder of Jesus entry into Jerusalem. We will bless these on Palm Sunday either on our Zoom Service, or if we can be in the buildings by then please bring them with you to church.

Good Friday Prayer Card – On this holy day, this prayer card is a reminder that Jesus gave himself up on the cross for us that we may have life through him.

Candle – Jesus is the Light of the World. We will light these candles together on Easter Day, either on our Zoom Service, or if we can be in the buildings by then please bring them with you to church.

Easter Eggs – Because we all deserve a little treat at Easter!

We wish you every blessing for this season of Lent, and for a holy, blessed and hope-filled Easter.
